This design was for an assignment for Open Window Institute for Digital Arts & Sciences. The purpose of the assignment was to explore packaging design and dieline integration.

 

The brief that was provided has a number of clients which included Yours Truly cookies, Origin juice, Roast Republica coffee, Bang Bang pesto, and Al Dente pasta. I decided to choose Roast Republica as my client because of my love of coffee and different cultures.

 

 

The concept behind the design for Roast Republica is focused on colourful nature. The idea was to create a design that shows people the beautiful land that the coffee comes from. On each bottle that has a different roast, I represented the land that the roast originated with the use of iconic landmarks, national flowers, and national birds.

 

I made use of a wide variety of colours to ensure that the vibrancy of South America was represented well within the illustrations.
