ARUM AIRLINES

This Corporate Identity forms part of an assignment that was completed during my 3rd year at Open Window Institute for Digital Arts & Sciences.

The brief speculated that we had the opportunity to choose which client we would like, and I further went and chose a transportation company. 

​

I decided to create an airline company for the country called St. Helena. This is one of the world's most isolated islands in the world. I, therefore, determined that it would be a good idea to give the rest of the world access to this beautiful country and also allow the country to open its doors to more tourists.

​

I named the airline for St. Helena, Arum Airlines. This name is derived from the national flower of St. Helena which is an arum lily.

​

The concept behind this assignment is world class design. I chose this concept because I wanted people to see that even though Arum Airlines is an airline for the world's most isolated island, it does not mean that they are not worthy of the world class status. 

​

Throughout this corporate identity, I made use of an aqua blue, to represent the water surrounding the island, a dark green, to represent the lush and beautiful land and then a yellow to represent the arum lily. The colours work well together and create a balance between the use of warm and cool colours.

​

The design is overall very minimalist and professional to emphasise the concept, which is regarding the fact that Arum Airlines is a world class airline that can be enjoyed by many all across the world.
